A prompt-based card game that uses play to help adults rediscover creative confidence through imagination, collaboration and conversation.

What happens when adults are given permission to play again?
Developed during my exchange at Linnaeus University, Sweden, Out of the Box explores creativity as a way of thinking rather than an artistic skill. The card game challenges the idea that adulthood must be defined by certainty, inviting players to embrace curiosity, absurdity and multiple possibilities instead of searching for a single "correct" answer.

Exploration
Research into creativity, divergent thinking and play, along with conversations with game designer Josefin Westborg from Uppsala University, shifted the project away from competition and towards collaboration. The final game uses open-ended prompts across storytelling, role play, doodling and word association. A bold and playful visual language reinforces the freedom to explore ideas without the pressure of being right.

Out of the Box became an exploration of how play can reopen ways of thinking we often leave behind in childhood.
